Machine-learning Assisted Influenza Vaccine Strain Selection framework
Vaccines are the main pharmaceutical intervention used against the global public health threat posed by influenza viruses. Machine-learning Assisted Influenza VaccinE Strain Selection framework, MAIVeSS, can potentially reduce the optimal vaccine candidate selection time from months to days and thus facilitate timely supply of seasonal vaccines. In the study, a glycan microarray comprising of 75 glyco-forms is used to investigate if virus high-yield trait correlates with glycan substructure binding properties.
